synthesis:
Thanatophobia Procedure is a short horror "Steampunk-Based" game where you take the role of Dr Frederick Bates, a man who has fallen in madness while researching how to avoid what awaits us all.
Death.
⚠⚠ Moderate amounts of Gore and Blood + Disturbing audio⚠⚠
Gameplay:
In game you have to avoid Dr Frederick's current patient death, in a last desperate attempt of reaching inmortality, read the old diary to understand the machines that Dr Frederick once remembered.
There's no end, so try to get a high score

CONTROLS:
NOTE: use Right Click to press start, for some reason cant change it
- Left Click - Close hand- Use it to interact with big objects and machines, and drag around others
- Right Click - Point with finger - Use finger to interact with small objects and check valves
- Hold [A] and [D] - Move the camera to the other rooms
- Holding [S] - will show the Doctor's Diary - click it to change the book current page, and understand the machines and what they mean

MACHINES TUTORIAL:
- To learn about the machines and how to operate them press [S] and Left Click the book to change page, or read down here if you didn't undertood the doodles,
- yet I recommend trying to interpretade Dr Frederick's diary instead of reading down here
STATES MACHINE:

This works basically by turning on an annoying alarm when one of its contents reaches a dangerous value (Blood & Decay), but only one of them, in game it haves a lever, interact with it by using [LEFT CLICK] and pull it up or down for choosing witch one to monitor.
no it cannot be turn off.
LUNG MACHINE:

This one explains itself, the machine takes care of oxygen, on the upper part of the machines there's a pressure valve, use [RIGHT CLICK] to check how full is the oxigen tank, if its low, then use [LEFT CLICK] to squeeze the bellows completely, then let go, repeat if necessary.
PUMP MACHINE:

This one works only when both lights are green, NOT red, use [RIGHT CLICK] turn the wheels next to the lights until the respective light turns green, and a click is heard, repeat on the next one. once both lights are green, the machine will start to pump fresh blood.
ALCHEMY MACHINE:

This one, haves two containers, and one light, use [RIGHT CLICK] to press the red buttons that appear in game to fill or empty the contents on them, prove combinations until the light turns green, once that happen, a syringe can be took from the box right under the light by using [LEFT CLICK] .
This syringe works as an antidote to the constant decay, but patient's blood lowers signficantly
THE CLOCK

Its a clock. it shows the current time, use [RIGHT CLICK] to see exactly what time is it.
Time is your worst enemy, as time passes, the machines go lower, and solutions change, all while the patient decays.

GAME JAM:
This game was made for THE EYE JAM 2 with the theme "Decay"
Made in 7 a days, by 1 person, with Gdevelop5, and all drawn by myself, no use of ai in visuals, audio, nor code
the reason why this first the theme is in the gameplay loop by keeping the subject alive and in the story with its context of fear of death, the cosmic horror is in the acts of the doctor.
